Chaos in multiplanetary extrasolar systems

چکیده
Here we present an initial look at the dynamics and stability of 178 multiplanetary systems which are already confirmed listed in NASA Exoplanet Archive. To distinguish between chaotic regular nature a system, value MEGNO indicator for each system was determined. Almost three-quarters them could be labelled as long-term stable. Only 45 studied show behaviour. We consequently investigated effects number planets their parameters on stability. A comparison results obtained using machine-learning algorithm SPOCK suggests that used effective tool reviewing systems. similar study published by Laskar Petit 2017. compared analysis based AMD criterion with our results. The possible discrepancies discussed.

controlling chaos in 2-dimensional systems
a chaos control method suggested by erjaee has been reviewed. it has been shown that thistechnique can be applied in various evolutionary systems of 2-dimensional types. the method has beenapplied for cases of the henon map, as well as burger’s map. the limitations of the control techniquehave also been discussed by considering the standard map and the gumowski-mira map. the resultsobtained thr...
متن کاملDynamical Instabilities in Extrasolar Planetary Systems
Instabilities and strong dynamical interactions between multiple giant planets have been proposed as a possible explanation for the surprising orbital properties of extrasolar planetary systems. In particular, dynamical instabilities seem to provide a natural mechanism for producing the highly eccentric orbits seen in many systems. Previously, we performed numerical integrations for the dynamic...
متن کامل3 Habitable Zones in Extrasolar Planetary Systems
If we ask the question about the possible existence of the life outside the Earth, we first have to determine the habitable zone (HZ) for our solar system. The HZ of distances between a main sequence star and an Earth-like planet is roughly defined as the range of mean orbital radii which imply moderate planetary surface temperatures suitable for the development and subsistence of carbon-based ...
متن کاملRelativistic Effects in Extrasolar Planetary Systems
This paper considers general relativistic (GR) effects in currently observed extrasolar planetary systems. Although GR corrections are small, they can compete with secular interactions in these systems and thereby play an important role. Specifically, some of the observed multiple planet systems are close to secular resonance, where the dynamics is extremely sensitive to GR corrections, and the...
